Privacy Policy

This policy explains how we collect and use your personal data when you use PassPrediction, and the rights you have. We are the data controller.

1. Who we are (data controller)

The data controller is GROUNDSENSE — Alexandre Wiefels, entrepreneur individuel (SIRET 98263335600018), 201 Avenue de la Justice de Castelnau, 34090 Montpellier, France. For any privacy request: privacy@passprediction.com. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to.

2. Data we collect

Account data (your email, and any name or company you provide); content you create (areas of interest, saved searches, tasking and latency simulations); billing data handled by our payment provider; and technical data (IP address, browser, request metadata) plus aggregated, IP-truncated usage analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

3. Purposes and lawful bases

We process data to provide and secure the service (performance of our contract); to operate, debug, and improve it and prevent abuse (our legitimate interests); to send marketing only if you opt in (consent); and to meet legal obligations such as keeping invoices (legal obligation).

4. Cookies and local storage

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and functional local storage for your preferences, plus first-party, consent-exempt analytics that truncate IP addresses. We set no third-party advertising cookies. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.

5. Sub-processors and recipients

We share personal data only with providers that process it on our behalf under contract — currently our email provider (Brevo), map-tile providers, a weather-data provider, and, for paid plans, our payment provider. The current list, with purpose and location, is on our Sub-processors page. We do not sell your personal data.

6. International transfers

Our infrastructure and primary providers are in the European Union. Where a provider processes data outside the EU, we rely on an adequacy decision or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to protect it.

7. How long we keep data

Account data: while your account is active and up to 3 years after your last activity. Areas of interest and search/tasking logs: 12 months. Invoices and billing records: 10 years, as required by French commercial law. Aggregated analytics: 25 months. Security and email logs: 6 to 12 months.

8. Your rights

You may access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, and withdraw consent at any time. You can export your data and delete your account directly from your account page. For other requests, email privacy@passprediction.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority (CNIL, www.cnil.fr).

9. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, this is your notice at collection: we collect the categories above for the purposes described, and we do not sell or share your personal information. You have the right to know, access, correct, and delete your personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email privacy@passprediction.com.

10. Marketing communications

We send service and transactional emails you cannot opt out of while you hold an account. Marketing emails are sent only with your consent and every one has an unsubscribe link; you can also change this in your settings.

11. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit (TLS/HSTS), httpOnly and same-site session cookies, server-side access control, and isolated data storage. See our Trust & Security page for detail. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

12. Children

PassPrediction is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data; if you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes and contact

We may update this policy; material changes will be notified and the current version is always available here. Questions: privacy@passprediction.com.
