PassPrediction has three access tiers — free (anonymous), registered, and paid — plus an API-key tier for programmatic access and the QGIS plugin.
Anonymous visitors can explore the map, draw an AOI, and run a limited number of pass searches per day (a small free quota). After the quota, a sign-in prompt appears. Registered users get full pass results with footprint geometry, all export formats, and higher daily limits. Some tools (weather / clear-sky, exports) and QGIS API access require a registered account or a Pro/Business entitlement.
Download the plugin ZIP, then in QGIS go to Plugins → Manage and Install Plugins → Install from ZIP and select the file. If it's hidden, enable Show experimental plugins in Settings and turn on PassPrediction. Click the toolbar icon and enter `https://passprediction.com` plus your API key. It requires QGIS 3.22+ and spends the same API credits at the same live pricing as the web app.
API keys are currently issued by an admin (self-serve issuance arrives with checkout). Once you have a key, use it as a Bearer token to read the live capability manifest (`/api/v1/external/capabilities/`), check your wallet balance, price a run with the estimate endpoint, and run tools — the same credits and pricing as the web app. The QGIS plugin uses this same key.
Open your History and select a past search log — pass search, tasking, and latency runs are all stored under the same row. Use the reproduce action to rehydrate the original AOI, satellites, filters, and results into editable panels, so you can tweak and re-run. Runs that include a latency result restore all three stages together.
